Meet Crystal

Crystal Cranmore is an award-winning multimedia journalist, specializing in print and video reporting.

She currently works as a freelance journalist and is obtaining her Master’s degree in International Relations from New York University. She spent the last two years as a video journalist for Time Warner Cable News in upstate New York. While there, she researched, filmed, edited and wrote stories on a daily basis.

Some of her most memorable moments in the Southern Tier include going live on CNN at Watkins Glen International. She covered the aftermath of a fatal car accident involving NASCAR driver Tony Stewart. Months before that, Cranmore grabbed her first exclusive interview with a murder suspect.

With a passion for politics, human rights and international affairs, Crystal has a flair for telling stories in a vivid and universal way.

Crystal has completed two prestigious fellowships. One at the Knight Digital Media Center at UC Berkeley and the Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism at Ohio State University.

In 2008, Crystal was awarded the White House Correspondents’ Association scholarship award for success in academics and student journalism.
